Welcome to Special New Born Care Unit | Joint effort of Government of M.P. & UNICEF under NRHM

Special New Born Care Units (SNCUs) are being set up under NRHM at District level across the State to address the issue of high Neonatal mortality and to ensure provision of specialized care to increasing load of new born in line with rise in institutional delivery as well as referrals from community.
These units being set up by Government of MP with technical support of UNICEF are helping to reduce the mortality of sick newborns particularly among the low birth weight babies. Once scaled up Statewide would help to treat more than 60,000 New Born every year.
